Oenology is our art and countless correct decisions to preserve the primary characteristics of grapes in wine with the help of indigenous yeasts in combination with state-of-the-art technology. It is the guarantor of the balance and character of our wines.
Devina sparkling wine is produced according to the classic method of sparkling wine production. The grapes for it are grown in the Podvrba position. Its specialty is the use of indigenous (domestic) yeasts. They have done an excellent job in producing the basic wine and re-fermenting the sparkling wine in the bottle. According to the philosophy of production, it is similar to champagne. That’s why watching sparks, foaming and bubbling games is a very special experience.
Opportunity to calm down, relax, think, like meditation. The bubbles are fine, tiny and connected in many chains. We can listen to the gentle murmur of bubbles and hear the sparkling wine. This is exactly what still wine does not know. The sparkling wine retained the beautiful wine aroma and color of the mature wine. The taste is winey, creamy, seductive, pleasantly fresh and surrounded by the grace of bubbles. There are many sparkling wine lovers, with selected tastes and requirements.
We bought the Mašno vino brand in 2017 from the Bistrica cellar. With a desire to revive the reputation of Mass wines and continue the story with tradition.
The Mašno vino brand is represented by Andrej’s wine and Slomšek’s wine, yellow muscat and kerner varieties. You can try and enjoy wines with us with good food or just at a tasting.
The characteristics of the Mašno vino line are impeccable quality and straightforward wines. The line is also recognizable by the image of Blessed Bishop Anton Martin Slomšek on the label.
The wine is produced on the vines of healthy, in some cases even slightly overripe grapes, which is felt in some wines from this line. The specialty of wines is that they have a residual sugar, which is embedded in the body of the wine like a diamond. The advantage of the wines is also their very beautiful, full and complex varietal bouquet.
Slovenian bishop, blessed, writer, poet and pedagogue Anton Martin Slomšek, our great awakener of national consciousness, once wrote: “Wine for working working people is healthy; it gives us power. Wine takes away too much strength and too much drink. Sweetened wine, as corrected by some sharps, is a dangerous poison. We should drink one thing of wine with the meal. ”
